Blinkit’s mission is to create a vibrant hyperlocal e-commerce economy that allows our partners – brands, merchants, delivery partners and customers – to benefit from the boom in digital transactions. At this point, we are operational in over 500 localities giving access to our customers of over 13,000 unique items.
One of the most consistent requests we received from brands, large and emerging — but especially emerging — was the ability to better connect with customers. These new age brands don’t yet have the prowess to tell their story to customers using mass media. At the same time, all brands want to really target their products and services in a way, which stays true to their brand identity and beliefs.
As part of our mission, we wanted to enable all the brands to be able to do it – intelligently and in their own way. We have worked and released Brand Stores as part of this initiative, that our partner brands can find in their Brand Central panels.
What can brands use Brand Stores for?
- Brands can now showcase their products in a way that is tailored to their own unique style and aesthetic, making it easier for customers to find what they are really looking for.
- Brands also have the avenue to create custom pages or flows on the page that allow them to highlight different products or engage with customers if they want to deliver a message about the brand.
- Once set up, brands can also look at real-time analytics around performance of their pages, what is working and what is not. This, coupled with the insights into sell throughs and supply chain tools give brands a near real time view into their performance - both on the app and in different geographies.
How does it work?
- Brands have the ability to create custom pages on the platform. This means, they can create different kinds of content and sections according to what they feel is more relevant to their presence on the platform, or what their customers might like.
- Brands can also utilise their own design language and design assets to make the brand store experience more immersive for their new or loyal customers.
- Any changes that are made from the Brand Stores panel can be previewed in real time on a simulator in the side panel. In addition, any changes that brands finalise can go live on the Blinkit app within seconds. Talk about an experimentation platform.
How do I get access?
- If you are a brand that already uses the Blinkit self serve search ad bidding platform, Brand Central, you should see a tab for Brand Stores. In case you need any help in setting it up or getting access, you can just follow the instructions or ask for help from the panel itself.
In case you are a brand whose products are already listed on the platform or you wish to get them on the platform, please reach out to us at [email protected] and we will get back to you in 10 minutes.
We have built the Brand Stores platform and tools with a lot of insights that we got from customers on how we can make their experience interacting with the brands more seamless and informative. We really hope this initiative opens up new hyperlocal avenues to market and reach consumers across all our geographies of coverage. We had a lot of fun building it and we hope this is a big win-win for our customers and our partner brands.
