Lemongrass is widely used as a culinary and medicinal herb. It can be very well used in food and beverages as well. Helps adding flavours to the dishes. Lemongrass leaves are commonly used as “lemon” flavoring in herbal teas.

Lemongrass is a potent herb which has numerous health benefits. To name a few of many benefits:
• It is a source of essential vitamins and minerals such as vitamin A, B-vitamins, folate, and vitamin C, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, manganese, zinc, and iron.
• Helps treat insomnia, stomach and respiratory disorders, fever, and infections.
• Helps in reducing cholesterol and detoxifying the body.

To maintain freshness wash, dry and wrap it in a paper bag. Further, zip log it and store in the refrigerator.

Boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan.
Add chopped lemon grass stalks to it and boil it for 5 more minutes.
Add sugar, milk, cream, honey, ginger, and/or lime(optional) and let it brew.
Pour the mixture through a strainer in a cup and enjoy the Tea!
