Take 250 grams of walnuts and grind them into a fine powder using a mixer grinder.

In a non-stick pan, heat 1 tablespoon of ghee on low flame.

Add the walnut powder to the pan and roast it for 5-7 minutes on low flame, stirring continuously to avoid burning.

In another pan, add 200 grams of sugar and 1/4 cup of water. Cook on medium flame until the sugar dissolves and forms a thick syrup (one-string consistency).

Add the roasted walnut powder to the sugar syrup and mix well.

Pour in 1/2 cup of milk and continue to cook the mixture on low flame, stirring continuously until it thickens and starts leaving the sides of the pan.

Grease a plate or tray with a little ghee and pour the walnut mixture onto it. Spread it evenly and let it cool for a few minutes.

Once the mixture is slightly cooled, cut it into square or diamond-shaped pieces using a sharp knife.

Allow the walnut barfi to cool completely and then store it in an airtight container.
