Heat 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add 1 cup of diced onion to the skillet and cook until translucent.
Add 4 chopped garlic cloves to the skillet and cook, stirring for 2 to 3 minutes.
Stir in 1 can of crushed tomatoes, 2 teaspoons of crushed red pepper flakes, and 2 teaspoons of Italian seasoning.
Season the sauce with salt to taste.
Cook the sauce for another 2 to 3 minutes until completely heated.
