In a pan, combine 1 tablespoon of butter and 1 tablespoon of oil.

Heat the pan until the butter melts and the mixture is hot.

Add 1 pinch of fennel seeds, 1 bay leaf, and 1 chopped chili to the pan.

Stir the spices to mix them well with the butter and oil.

Add 8 grated carrots to the pan.

Sauté the carrots for 15 minutes, adding a little water if needed.

Cook the carrots until they are soft.

Season the carrots with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric.
