Take 500 grams of fresh curd and place it in a muslin cloth. Tie the cloth and hang it over a bowl for 4-5 hours to drain the whey and obtain hung curd. You can also leave it overnight in the refrigerator.

After the whey has drained, transfer the hung curd to a mixing bowl.

Add 100 grams of powdered sugar to the hung curd and mix well until smooth and creamy.

Crush 1/4 teaspoon of saffron strands and soak them in 2 tablespoons of warm milk for 5 minutes.

Add the saffron-infused milk, 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder, and a pinch of nutmeg powder to the hung curd mixture. Mix well to combine all the flavors.

Refrigerate the shrikhand for at least 1-2 hours before serving.

Garnish with slivered almonds and pistachios before serving.
