In a large skillet over medium heat, cook 5 slices of bacon until crisp.

Remove bacon from pan, break into 1/2 inch pieces, and set aside.

Drain bacon grease and return pan to heat.

Sauté 1 chopped onion over medium heat until tender.

Stir in 2 minced garlic cloves and cook for 1 more minute.

Add the bacon pieces and 1 can of stewed tomatoes to the pan.

Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.

In a separate pot, bring lightly salted water to a boil.

Add 250 grams of spaghetti and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente, then drain.

Stir 1/2 teaspoon of basil, 1/2 teaspoon of oregano, and 1 1/2 teaspoons of parsley into the tomato sauce.

Add salt and pepper to taste, and cook for 5 more minutes.

Toss the sauce with the hot pasta.

Serve topped with 1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese.
