Take 500 grams of fresh curd and place it in a muslin cloth. Tie the cloth and hang it for 4-5 hours to drain the whey and get thick, creamy hung curd.

Peel and chop 2 ripe mangoes, then blend them in a mixer to make a smooth mango puree.

In a mixing bowl, combine the hung curd and mango puree. Mix well until smooth and creamy.

Add 100 grams of powdered sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder to the mixture. Mix well to combine.

Optionally, you can add a few strands of saffron soaked in 1 tablespoon of warm milk for added flavor and color.

Chill the mango shrikhand in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Garnish with chopped nuts like almonds, pistachios, or cashews before serving.
