In a bowl, mix 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 tablespoon black pepper powder, 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder to make a marinade.
Clean and cut 500 grams of chicken into medium-sized pieces. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and mix well. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add 1 teaspoon cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add 1 finely chopped onion to the pan and sauté until it turns golden brown.
Add the marinated chicken to the pan and cook on medium heat for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add 1/2 cup of water to the pan, cover it with a lid, and let the chicken cook for another 15-20 minutes or until it is fully cooked and tender.
Once the chicken is cooked, add 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of chopped coriander leaves. Mix well and cook for another 2 minutes.
Turn off the heat and let the dish rest for a few minutes before serving.
