In a mixing bowl, combine 500 grams of minced chicken or mutton, 1 finely chopped onion, 2 minced garlic cloves, 1/2 teaspoon of ginger paste, 1/2 teaspoon of garam masala, 1/2 teaspoon of red chili powder, salt to taste, and 1/4 cup of breadcrumbs. Mix well and form into 4 large patties.
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Cook the patties for 5-6 minutes on each side or until they are cooked through and have a nice brown crust.
In a separate pan, toast 4 burger buns, cut side down, until they are slightly crispy.
Assemble the burger by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a slice of tomato, the cooked patty, a slice of cheese, a spoonful of mayonnaise, and a spoonful of tomato ketchup. Top with the other half of the bun.
