Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Take 250 grams of cherry tomatoes, wash them, and cut them into halves.
In a mixing bowl, combine the halved cherry tomatoes, 1 finely chopped garlic clove, 10 grams of chopped fresh basil, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix well and set aside for 10 minutes to let the flavors meld.
Meanwhile, slice 500 grams of focaccia bread into 1.5 cm thick pieces.
Place the focaccia slices on a baking tray and drizzle with a little olive oil.
Bake the focaccia slices in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until they are slightly crispy and golden brown.
Remove the focaccia slices from the oven and let them cool for a minute.
Spoon the tomato mixture evenly onto the toasted focaccia slices.
Garnish with additional fresh basil leaves and serve immediately.
