Brew 2 cups (500 ml) of strong coffee and let it cool to room temperature.
In a blender, add the cooled coffee, 4 scoops of vanilla ice cream, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and 1 cup (250 ml) of cold milk. Blend until smooth and frothy.
Pour the cold coffee mixture into 2 tall glasses, filling them about 3/4 full.
Top each glass with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Drizzle some chocolate syrup over the ice cream, if desired.
Serve immediately with a straw and a long spoon.
