Chickpeas In Tomato Sauce
A zesty combination of chickpeas and tomatoes, this dish is sure to tantalize your taste buds! Ingredients: Tomato, Groundnut oil, Ginger, Coriander, Black salt, Onion, Peas

Heat 2 tablespoons of peanut or safflower oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.

Add 1 tablespoon of cumin seeds and cook for 1 minute. (Alternatively, use cumin powder.)

Stir in 1 tablespoon of chopped ginger and 1/4 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes.

Add 1 large halved and sliced onion to the saucepan.

Cook until onions are soft, about 5 minutes.

Add 15-600 grams of canned crushed or diced tomatoes to the saucepan.

Cook for 5 more minutes until the mixture becomes saucy.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Add 900 grams of canned, drained, and rinsed chickpeas to the saucepan.

Cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
