Take 4 slices of bread (preferably white or whole wheat) and lay them on a flat surface.
Preheat a tawa or non-stick pan on medium heat.
Apply a generous amount of butter (approximately 10 grams per slice) on one side of each bread slice.
Place the buttered side of the bread slices onto the preheated tawa or pan.
Toast the bread slices for 2-3 minutes or until they turn golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning.
Flip the bread slices and toast the other side for another 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
Remove the toasted bread slices from the tawa or pan and transfer them to a serving plate.
