Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a baking dish with butter.
Take 8 slices of bread (preferably a day old) and cut them into small cubes. Place the bread cubes in the greased baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, combine 500 ml of milk, 4 beaten eggs, 150 grams of sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix well to create a smooth custard mixture.
Pour the custard mixture over the bread cubes, ensuring that all the bread pieces are soaked evenly. Let it sit for 10 minutes to allow the bread to absorb the custard.
In a small bowl, mix 50 grams of melted butter with 50 grams of brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Drizzle this mixture over the soaked bread cubes.
Bake the bread pudding in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your bread pudding warm, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce, if desired.
