Soak 200 grams of almonds in hot water for 30 minutes. After soaking, peel the skin and grind them into a fine paste using a little water.

In a heavy-bottomed pan, heat 200 grams of sugar with 1/4 cup of water on medium flame. Stir continuously until the sugar dissolves and forms a thick syrup.

Add the almond paste to the sugar syrup and mix well. Cook on low flame, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.

In a separate pan, heat 100 grams of ghee and add it to the almond-sugar mixture. Cook until the mixture thickens and starts leaving the sides of the pan.

Meanwhile, finely chop 50 grams of pistachios and set aside.

Grease a tray or plate with ghee and spread the cooked almond mixture evenly. Sprinkle the chopped pistachios on top and gently press them into the mixture.

Allow the mixture to cool and set for 2-3 hours. Once set, cut the Badam Pista Barfi into desired shapes and serve.
