Anjeer And Mawa Modak
Anjeer and Mawa Modak is a delicious and rich Indian sweet made with dried figs, mawa (milk solids), and sugar. These delectable modaks are perfect for festive occasions like Ganesh Chaturthi. Ingredients: Mawa, Anjeer, Pista, Bura, Ghee

Soak 250 grams of anjeer (dried figs) in warm water for 30 minutes. After soaking, drain the water and finely chop the anjeer.

In a non-stick pan, heat 200 grams of mawa (khoya) on low flame. Stir continuously until it becomes soft and slightly golden.

Add the chopped anjeer to the mawa and mix well. Cook for 5-7 minutes on low flame, stirring occasionally.

Add 50 grams of powdered sugar to the anjeer-mawa mixture and cook for another 5 minutes, or until the sugar melts and the mixture thickens.

Remove the pan from heat and let the mixture cool down to room temperature.

Grease your hands and modak moulds with ghee. Fill the moulds with the anjeer-mawa mixture, pressing it firmly to shape the modaks.

Gently remove the modaks from the moulds and place them on a plate. Repeat the process until all the mixture is used up.

Garnish the modaks with finely chopped pistachios or almonds, if desired. Serve at room temperature or refrigerate for a firmer texture.
