In a pan, heat 200 grams of khoya on medium flame until it becomes soft and slightly golden. Set aside to cool.

In another pan, dry roast 2 tablespoons of saunf (fennel seeds) until aromatic. Crush them coarsely.

Mix the roasted saunf with 100 grams of gulkand in a bowl.

Once the khoya has cooled, mix it with the gulkand-saunf mixture until well combined.

Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into modaks using a modak mould or by hand.
