Heat 2 tablespoons of ghee in a kadhai over medium flame.

Add 1 cup of semolina (rava) and roast it until it turns golden brown and emits a nutty aroma, stirring continuously to avoid burning.

In a separate pan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.

Slowly add the boiling water to the roasted semolina, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.

Add 1 cup of sugar and mix well until it dissolves completely.

Add 1/4 teaspoon of cardamom powder and mix well.

Cook the mixture on low flame until it thickens and the ghee starts to separate from the sides.
