Start by washing 500 grams of ripe guavas thoroughly. Cut them into halves and remove the seeds.

In a pan, add the guava halves and pour in enough water to cover them. Bring the water to a boil and let it simmer until the guavas are soft and mushy.

Once the guavas are cooked, strain the mixture and keep the pulp aside. Discard the water.

Now, take the guava pulp and blend it in a mixer until it forms a smooth puree.

In a pan, add the guava puree, 200 grams of sugar, and the juice of one lemon. Cook this mixture on a medium flame until the sugar dissolves completely and the sauce thickens.

Once the sauce reaches your desired consistency, remove it from the heat and let it cool.

Store the guava sauce in a clean, airtight jar and refrigerate it for future use.
