Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
Peel and slice 1 kg of apples into thin pieces.
In a pan, add 100 grams of sugar, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder, and the sliced apples. Cook until the apples are soft and the sugar is completely dissolved.
Roll out 500 grams of pie dough and line the bottom of a pie dish with it. Trim off the excess.
Pour the cooked apple mixture into the pie dish.
Roll out the remaining pie dough and cover the apple mixture with it. Trim off the excess and crimp the edges to seal the pie.
Make a few slits on the top of the pie to allow steam to escape.
Bake the pie in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
Allow the pie to cool before serving.
