Take 500 grams of grated coconut and keep it aside.
In a pan, add 250 grams of Nolen Gur (date palm jaggery) and melt it on a low flame.
Once the jaggery is completely melted, add the grated coconut to it and mix well.
Keep stirring the mixture on a low flame until it thickens.
Once the mixture is thick enough, turn off the flame and let it cool for a while.
When the mixture is cool enough to handle, shape it into small round balls or 'naru'.
Let the naru cool completely before serving.
