Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Grease a cake tin with butter and dust it with flour.

In a bowl, take 200 grams of all-purpose flour (maida), 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, and a pinch of salt. Mix them well.

In another bowl, take 100 grams of softened butter and 150 grams of powdered sugar. Beat them until they become fluffy.

Add 2 eggs into the butter-sugar mixture one by one, beating well after each addition.

Now, add 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence and mix well.

Gradually add the flour mixture into the wet ingredients, mixing gently to avoid lumps.

Add 1 teaspoon each of ground cinnamon (dalchini), ground cloves (laung), and ground cardamom (elaichi) to the batter. Mix well to incorporate the spices.

Finally, fold in 200 grams of chopped and pitted plums into the batter.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake tin and bake for about 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

Let the cake cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
