Basil Fried Rice
Basil Fried Rice is a fragrant and flavourful dish that combines the aromatic essence of basil with the hearty goodness of rice. This dish is a perfect blend of taste and health, making it a favourite among all age groups. Rinse 200 grams of basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Soak it for 30 minutes and then drain the water.

In a large pan, bring 1 litre of water to a boil. Add the soaked rice and cook until it's 70% done. Drain the water and spread the rice on a plate to cool.

In a pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil. Add 1 finely chopped onion and sauté until it turns golden brown.

Add 2 finely chopped green chillies, 1 tablespoon of finely chopped garlic and sauté for a minute.

Add 1/2 cup of finely chopped vegetables like carrots, beans, and bell peppers. Sauté them on high heat for 2-3 minutes.

Now, add the cooked rice, 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper powder, salt to taste, and mix well.

Finally, add 1/2 cup of fresh basil leaves and stir well. Cook for another 2 minutes and then turn off the heat.

Your Basil Fried Rice is ready to be served.
