Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

Boil 500 grams of penne pasta in a large pot of salted water until it is al dente. Drain the pasta and set it aside.

In a large pan, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add 1 finely chopped onion and 2 cloves of minced garlic, sauté until they turn golden brown.

Add 400 grams of crushed tomatoes to the pan and let it simmer for about 10 minutes. Season it with salt, pepper, and 1 teaspoon of dried oregano.

In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, tomato sauce, and 200 grams of grated mozzarella cheese. Mix well until the pasta is coated with the sauce and cheese.

Transfer the pasta mixture to a baking dish. Top it with 100 grams of grated Parmesan cheese.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
