Wash and hull 250 grams of fresh strawberries, then cut them into halves.
In a blender, add the halved strawberries, 500 ml of cold milk, 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream (optional), and 2 tablespoons of sugar (adjust according to taste).
Blend the mixture until smooth and creamy. If the milkshake is too thick, add a little more milk and blend again.
Pour the strawberry milkshake into tall glasses and garnish with a few strawberry slices or a dollop of whipped cream, if desired.
