Choose a ripe pineapple with a sweet aroma and firm skin. Wash it thoroughly.
Cut off the top and bottom of the pineapple, then remove the skin by slicing it off from top to bottom.
Cut the pineapple into small chunks, discarding the tough core.
Place the pineapple chunks in a blender or juicer and blend until smooth. If using a blender, you may need to add a little water (about 50 ml) to help with blending.
Strain the blended pineapple through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove any remaining pulp and fibers.
If desired, add sugar or honey (about 1-2 tablespoons) to sweeten the juice according to your taste. Stir well to dissolve the sweetener.
Pour the pineapple juice into a glass and serve chilled. You can also add ice cubes for an extra refreshing touch.
