Paneer Fried Momos
Paneer Fried Momos are crispy, golden-brown dumplings filled with a delicious paneer and vegetable stuffing, perfect for a delightful snack or appetizer.
Ingredients: Paneer, Maida, Onion, Ginger, Salt, Cooking oil, Garlic, Soy sauce, Black pepper powder, Cabbage, Carrot, Capsicum

In a bowl, mix 200 grams of all-purpose flour (maida) with a pinch of salt and 1 tablespoon of oil. Gradually add water and knead it into a soft dough. Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.

In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil and add 1 finely chopped onion, 1 teaspoon of grated ginger, and 2 cloves of minced garlic. Sauté until the onions turn translucent.

Add 1 cup of grated paneer, 1/2 cup of finely chopped cabbage, 1/2 cup of grated carrot, and 1/4 cup of finely chopped capsicum to the pan. Cook for 5-7 minutes on medium heat.

Season the mixture with salt, 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1 teaspoon of soy sauce. Mix well and cook for another 2 minutes. Turn off the heat and let the filling cool down.

Divide the dough into small equal-sized balls. Roll each ball into a thin, round wrapper using a rolling pin.

Place a spoonful of the paneer filling in the center of each wrapper. Fold and pleat the edges to seal the momos.

Heat oil in a deep frying pan or kadai. Once the oil is hot, carefully slide the momos into the oil and fry them until they turn golden brown and crispy.

Remove the fried momos from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Serve hot with chutney or sauce.
