Preheat the oven to 250°C (482°F) and place a pizza stone or baking tray inside to heat up.

In a bowl, mix 300 grams of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of sugar. Add 1 teaspoon of instant yeast and mix well.

Gradually add 180 ml of warm water and 2 tablespoons of olive oil to the flour mixture, and knead until a smooth dough forms. Cover the dough and let it rest for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

Roll out the dough on a floured surface to form a thin, round pizza base of about 30 cm in diameter.

Spread 150 grams of tomato sauce evenly over the pizza base, leaving a small border around the edges.

Slice 200 grams of fresh mozzarella cheese and arrange the slices evenly over the tomato sauce.

Carefully transfer the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or baking tray in the oven. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove the pizza from the oven and immediately top it with a handful of fresh basil leaves. Drizzle with a little olive oil and serve hot.
