In a bowl, mix 200 grams of boneless chicken pieces with 2 tablespoons of ginger-garlic paste, 1 teaspoon of red chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon of garam masala, 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder, salt to taste, and 2 tablespoons of yogurt. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat a grill or grill pan on medium heat. Place the marinated chicken pieces on the grill and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, until fully cooked and slightly charred.
In a separate pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil and sauté 1 sliced onion and 1 sliced tomato until they are soft and slightly caramelized.
Toast 4 burger buns on the grill or in a pan for 1-2 minutes until they are slightly crispy.
Assemble the burger by placing a piece of lettuce on the bottom half of the bun, followed by the grilled chicken, sautéed onions, and tomatoes. Add a slice of cheese (optional) and spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise or your preferred sauce on the top half of the bun. Close the burger with the top bun.
