Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine 200 grams of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
In another bowl, mix 100 grams of softened unsalted butter with 150 grams of powdered sugar until creamy.
Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence and 1 large beaten egg to the butter-sugar mixture, and mix well.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.
Fold in 150 grams of chocolate chips or chopped chocolate into the dough.
Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough, roll them into balls, and place them on the prepared baking tray, leaving some space between each cookie.
Flatten the dough balls slightly and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the tray for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
