Take 500 grams of fresh yogurt and place it in a muslin cloth. Tie the cloth and hang it for 4-5 hours to drain the excess water and get thick, creamy hung curd.

In a mixing bowl, add the hung curd and 100 grams of powdered sugar. Mix well until the sugar dissolves and the mixture becomes smooth.

Crush 50 grams of pistachios into small pieces. Reserve some for garnishing.

Add the crushed pistachios to the hung curd mixture and mix well.

Add 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder and mix well.

Refrigerate the pista shrikhand for at least 2 hours before serving.

Garnish with reserved crushed pistachios and serve chilled.
