Nariyal Ki Barfi

Take 200 grams of freshly grated coconut (main) and set aside. Make sure the coconut is finely grated for a smooth texture.

In a heavy-bottomed pan, add 1 cup of sugar (main) and 1/2 cup of water. Cook on medium heat until the sugar dissolves completely and forms a syrup.

Add the grated coconut to the sugar syrup and mix well. Cook on low heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring continuously to avoid sticking to the pan.

Add 1/2 cup of milk (main) and 1/4 teaspoon of cardamom powder (main) to the coconut mixture. Cook for another 10-12 minutes, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens.

Grease a square or rectangular tray with a little ghee (main). Pour the cooked coconut mixture into the tray and spread it evenly with a spatula.

Allow the mixture to cool for 10-15 minutes. Once it is slightly cooled, cut the barfi into square or diamond shapes using a sharp knife.

Let the nariyal ki barfi cool completely and set for at least 2 hours. Once set, gently remove the pieces from the tray and serve.
