Despite the name, Date Sugar isn't really sugar, but simply granulated dried dates! The dates are cleaned, pitted, sun-dried and ground, resulting in our Date Sugar. This unrefined natural sweetener lends a unique sweetness with notes of caramel/butterscotch. Because this sugar is made from whole, sun-dried dates and given it's high fibre content, it easily absorbs moisture in recipes.
